Silence of Time

This clock started as a special order from one of my clients to meet the simple lines and elegance that was required for one of her painting projects.  She requested a clock with plenty of painting space, fluent and simple detail and the use of quality clock movements.

I decided to call this piece the Silence of Time because the pendulum marks the passing of time with a resonating swish of air instead of quarterly and hourly chimes. The painting packet of magnolias my client used echoes this with a graceful design that reflects quiet peacefulness and beauty. This piece was made with the finest grades of poplar hardwoods and birch plywood. A convenient keyhole slot is provided for hanging your clock and also a hinged door on the back allows for easy access to the clock movement and battery.

The overall dimensions are 11” x 30” x 4-1/4”
